Domain Hosting
We are able to register and host domain names for our clients. We are experts in the technical details of domain hosting, DNS, website and email services. We have a comprehensive internal domain name database system that holds the details of all of our registered domains, together with details of POP3 Accounts, FTP Accounts and Quotas etc. Our domain database also monitors the expiry dates of such products and alerts us internally to the eventual expiry of the product, giving us upto 40 days to notifiy our clients personally of expiry and determine if they wish to renew.
Web Space Packages
We currently have three rack mount server systems currently hosting our clients websites operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year under terrorist proof conditions in a London data centre. We can offer web space packages together with their domain hosting for a competitive price.
We know how much of an administrative headache it can be to maintain domain hosting and web hosting with separate providers and invoice/billing arrangements, some clients do not even know the difference between the services!
Our aim to is to provide the best quality service they can get when hosting with AIS services, therefore we encourage our customers to host their domains and web space services with us entirely. This arrangement enables us to respond their requests more effectively and provide a better quality service to our clients.
Email Services
POP3 Email Account Hosting
In parallel with our domain and web hosting packages, we can offer POP3 email hosting services for our clients. Our POP3 email server is a robust and reliable system suitable for use with start-up small to medium sized companies who require their email service to be handled externally by an ISP like us, rather than an internal office mail system like Microsoft Exchange.
SMTP Mail Feeds
For large more established companies who have an internal Email System, we can offer SMTP mail feeds which offer a number of benefits to users:
- Hold email incase of non-availability: If an internal mail server becomes unavailable to the outside world, people cannot send email to the server. Consequently, users of the server cannot receive email. Our SMTP mail relay can hold email for your mail server in the event that you're ADSL or internet connection is lost or your mail server becomes unavailable for an amount of time. This feature can hold onto mail until your mail server is restored and deliver mail as normal, rather than bouncing your mail because your mail server is unavailable.
- Improved Spam Reduction: As mail is acquired by your SMTP mail feed, very basic Spam prevention measures are taken to limit Spam email relayed to your mail server. This option is especially useful in scenarios where you have implemented your own internal Spam filtering system.
- Secured Mail Relay: With an SMTP mail feed acting as proxy between your mail server and the internet, the chances of your mail server being hijacked and used as a spam relay are greatly reduced. This prevents your ADSL connection from being robbed of vital bandwidth for bad email messages and reduces the processing load on your mail server.
Email Filtering
For medium to large businesses who have their own internal mail server, we offer an enterprise standard email filtering system effective in removing 99.9% of spam messages from your in bound email traffic. The EMF email filtering system is an intelligent mail filtering product that brings together its knowledge and experience in beating previous threats into combating new threats as an when they arrive.
